Sunsets.

Sunsets looking across toward Hereford from Mordiford.

Bluebells.

Bluebells at westwood, Mordiford, Herefordshire, but they were not fully out when i visited.

Wood Anemone.

A carpet of wood anemone on a spring walk through the woods, the droopy flowers lift their heads when the sun shines.

Redcurrant Flower.

Not everybody likes this one but with it's big leaves the bugs and catterpillars can hide / shelter under them.

Wild Cherry Tree Blossom.

Everyone likes a nice blossom. This one has done very well this year. But the pigeon is feasting on the fruit before it has tome to set.

Cuckoo Flower.

Well i haven't heard the cuckoo locally yet but this pretty little flower is showing nicely.

Stonechat.

This lovely small bird was singing out loud, how do they perch on that prickly gorse, ouch,,,lol. Taken 7th April 2006.

Primroses.

The real wild Primrose, the unmastakable '' first rose'' is the herald of spring. Taken 2nd April 06.

Common dog Violets.

These are white common dog violets commonly seen in verges, hedgerows woodlands and dry grassland. taken 2nd April 2006.

BlackThorn Flower.

One of wild hedgerow plants that comes into flower in early spring ,before the leaves. The fruit of which is often used to flavour gin. The tough wood is favoured for making walking sticks.
