Paeonia.
My bright red paeonia is a lovely flower for the time of year. It doesn't really last very long but i use the fallen petals to make my own pot-pouri mix.

Hi Julie, Looks like you have been quite busy these last few weeks, it certainly is the best time of the year for wildlife. I'm coming down your way on Thursday as I'm ging to Wigglys at Lower Blakemere, i'll wave on the way down.
